Gonna go spend some time with my nieces.
I can already hear Fatima yelling “Ama!”
11-year-old Houla massacre survivor tells how his family were slaughtered.
Speechless.

I will not celebrate Memorial Day neither will I commemorate any of the troops until every last victim of USA’s war on ‘terror’ is remembered and mourned for.
First and foremost PHS, I’d like to say that you’ve changed me completely. I went in a shy, timid, insecure little freshman and now I’m a talented, intelligent, insane and somewhat disturbed individual.
To be absolutely blunt, I’d like to say: FUCK YOU.
And thank you.
Fuck you for your racism, for your white-privilege, your ignorance, sheer stupidity about the world around us, your backwards educational system, your unfairness, your inequality, your ethnocentrism, your apathy for your students’ problems, and your conservative, republican-till-the-day-I-die, bigoted teachers.
But also, thank you.
Thank you for letting me know that life is really not fair, thanks for letting me know that life is tough and sometimes you don’t get what you deserve. You’ve taught me that not everyone is understanding and open, and that I am going to suffer some loses due to the fact that people are just, well, mean. And that you LITERALLY have to fight your way to the top even if you are more deserving than other students. Mr. C - You are amazing and I’ll miss you terribly. Thank you for letting me express my hatred for this country whenever I needed to in your class, even though it had nothing to do with the material on our syllabus. Thank you for being understanding and letting me have breaks during the year because I needed them. Thank you for being the one to remind me to pray even though you aren’t Muslim yourself. And thank you, most importantly, for being not only a teacher, but a friend. Ms. S - I absolutely love you. I’ll see you at Prom. I cannot even use words to express the amount of respect I have for you. YOU’RE THE BEST.
Bye PHS, apart from a select group of teachers and students, it’s safe to say I won’t be missing you.
Alhamdulilah.

I am what I am.
I do what I do.
I stay the same.
I don’t change.
